What’s new

Lotably changelog

What we’ve shipped, newest first. Updates go live for customers automatically, with nothing to install. Some workflows need to be enabled or configured first.

  1. ParkMobile sessions at the plate checkNew

    • Connect your ParkMobile account under Paid parking data with the sign-in details ParkMobile issues you, then choose a lot for each ParkMobile zone. Several zones can share one lot.
    • Paid ParkMobile sessions sync every 2 minutes, extensions and stops included. When a plate isn’t in the latest sync, the plate check asks ParkMobile directly, so a driver who paid moments ago still counts.
    • If ParkMobile doesn’t answer, the officer sees that the plate can’t be verified, never that it’s unpaid. Zones not matched to a lot show under Payment system health.
    • ParkMobile runs alongside Parking BOXX, sessions added by hand or by CSV, and your own Lotably passes and permits.
  2. A portal for the apartment buildings you patrolNew

    • Add an apartment building as a client and invite its property managers. Each manager signs in to a portal that shows only their own buildings, with a switcher when they manage more than one.
    • Managers keep their residents current: add, edit, or remove residents with their unit, lease end date, and up to five vehicles, or import a CSV or Excel file and preview every change before it’s saved. They can export the list too.
    • Residents can get their own sign-in to manage their plates and guest passes. You choose whether that’s on for each lot, and a manager can turn it off for their building’s lots.
    • Managers can issue and cancel guest passes for their residents, and can lower your visitor limits for their building, never raise them.
    • Managers list authorized vehicles, like the leasing office’s or a vendor’s. Officers see “Authorized vehicle” when they scan one, and the tow and boot buttons are hidden for it.
    • Tow requests, off for each building until you turn them on: a manager looks up the plate, adds where, why, and up to five photos, and sends it. The request comes to you or, if you choose, straight to the building’s tow company. Dispatch, decline, or mark it towed under Tows → Requests, or take it in the officer app under Menu → Tow requests. The manager is emailed at each step.
    • An Activity page shows managers the tickets, boots, tows, and guest passes on their building’s lots for the last 90 days, and officers now see a resident’s unit when they scan their plate.
  3. Fixes for daily parking, payment plans, and monthly parkersFixed

    • Daily parking no longer sells an extension that adds no time.
    • Voiding or paying a ticket takes it off its payment plan, and overdue reminders show what’s owed after payment-plan credits.
    • Courtesy warnings are counted for each lot, as the lot’s warning setting describes.
    • Monthly applicants who apply again keep their portal sign-in and always get an approval email, and a monthly spot opens up again once a permit’s term has ended.
    • The contest page says when a ticket number isn’t found and keeps what the driver typed, and printed reports leave out the admin menu and banners.
  4. Monthly applications, plan rules, validations, and clearer recordsNewImproved

    • Monthly plans now bring together permitted days and hours, overnight stays, event rules, a default monthly rate, billing dates, and cancellation notice. Track issued, returned, lost, or replaced permit cards with history.
    • Enable online monthly applications with required documents, staff approval, per-lot availability, and waitlists. Offers to the next applicant are held for 72 hours; permits start after payment or an authorized staff action.
    • Residents can schedule guest passes, extend visits, and use eligible visitor lots for their own cars. Choose calendar-week or calendar-month allowances; office staff can issue passes and record reasons for overrides.
    • Merchants can issue single-use codes for free parking time, with eligible extra time paid by the driver. Set lot and time limits, review monthly statements, and invoice merchants. Validations do not combine with event rates, advance bookings, or promo codes.
    • Review sales, collections, refunds, tax, and Stripe payouts in the Money report. Merchant invoices remain separate. Payment system health highlights stale or failed syncs and unmapped sites.
    • Drivers can attach photos or PDFs to a contest, and staff can download the dispute packet. Ticket review can include the saved plate-check context when available; staff still decide each contest.
    • Drivers can correct eligible paid-pass plates once within 15 minutes; staff can make corrections later with a note. Promo codes can explicitly allow event rates.
  5. Drivers can book a day aheadNew

    • On a lot’s QR page, drivers can choose Another day, pick a date, and pay now for a daily pass that covers that whole day. On an event day they book the event rate.
    • Choose how far ahead drivers can book (60 days to start) and whether they can cancel for a full refund until the day before, under Policies → Booking ahead.
    • Set an optional limit on how many passes can be booked for one day at each lot. Once a day fills, the QR page says so before anyone pays.
    • Drivers get a reminder the evening before, and you can see every booking under Pay-to-park sales → Booked ahead.
  6. Email alerts for your team, and a daily summaryNew

    • Choose who on your team gets an email when a driver contests a ticket, a monthly payment fails, a parker’s parking is paused for non-payment, Stripe pauses your payments or payouts, an officer installs a boot or records a tow, or a driver pays the same ticket twice.
    • A daily summary at 7 AM with yesterday’s numbers and what needs attention today.
    • Set each person’s alerts on the new Notifications page, and send yourself a test email to check it.
  7. Reminders before daily parking runs outNewImproved

    • Drivers who leave a phone number or email get one reminder shortly before their parking ends, with a link that opens your pay page with their plate filled in, ready to add time.
    • Reminders are on by default. Choose how far ahead they go out (5 to 60 minutes) under Policies, or turn them off.
    • Every daily parking receipt now has an Add time link, and checkout can offer returning drivers the card they saved last time.
  8. Ticket tools, collections, and faster plate checksNewImproved

    • The ticket list has ready-made views, filters and sorting you can bookmark or share, and bulk Void or Mark paid with a required reason.
    • Add internal notes to a ticket, and resend a driver’s receipt.
    • A new Collections page: plates that still owe, with a CSV export; notices to mail, printed as a PDF batch and marked as mailed; and payment plans drivers can choose on your pay page, off until you turn them on.
    • Plate checks in the officer app come back much faster.
  9. Clearer checks and fixesImprovedFixed

    • When a plate’s monthly permit has expired, the plate check now says so and shows when it ended.
    • A driver’s pay page now says when the car has been booted or towed.
    • Until your account is live, the officer app shows a Not live yet notice.
    • The dashboard flags when a driver has paid the same ticket twice, so you can refund the extra payment.
    • Receipts and the payments in your Stripe account now name the violation.
    • Due dates and late fees follow the calendar day in your own time zone.
  10. New daily parking capsImproved

    • On each daily parking session, Lotably takes the plan percentage or at most 35¢ on Free and 25¢ on Starter, whichever is less. Accounts opened before October 24, 2026 keep the cap in their agreement.
  11. Try Lotably yourself in a live demoNew

    • Confirm your work email at app.lotably.com/demo and get your own sample parking company for 24 hours, filled with lots, monthly parkers, tickets and passes.
    • Scan plates in the officer app, pay a ticket or a pass as a driver, and run the admin. Nothing is charged, and emails and texts show up in an on-screen outbox instead of being sent.
    • Prefer to watch? The demo video is new too: one minute, from scanning a plate to the money landing in your own Stripe account.
  12. Go live the moment you sign upImproved

    • No more waiting for approval: a Free account is live as soon as you sign, and a Starter account as soon as you save the card or bank account it’s billed to.
    • No letter to upload. When you sign, you confirm your business has written authorization for every lot you’ll enforce, and you keep those letters on file.
    • Booting and towing chosen at signup are requests: your account goes live without them, and we email you when we turn each on or decline it.
    • Passes sold for a set length of more than 31 days are now priced like monthly parking for new accounts, as passes that run through a date already were.
  13. Monthly parkers can pay and manage their parking themselvesNewImproved

    • A monthly parker who isn’t paid for by a company can now have their own monthly rate and pay it online, by card or bank account each month or by emailed invoice, straight to your Stripe account.
    • When you start their billing, we email them an invite to the parker portal, where they set up payment, keep their plates current, and see their invoices.
    • Your public page now has a sign-in link for monthly parkers, and company contacts get a portal invite when you add their sign-in email.
    • The Monthly parkers and Clients lists show where each account stands: paid through a date, late, paused, or ending. If a parker cancels, their permit ends with the month they paid for.
    • Restoring a paused parker’s parking by hand now gives them a fresh grace period before the next late-payment check.
  14. Lower fees on daily parking, and no app fee for driversNewImproved

    • Daily parking now has its own, lower price: on each hourly, daily, overnight, or event session, Lotably takes the plan percentage or a flat cap, whichever is less (now 35¢ on Free and 25¢ on Starter). Citations and monthly parkers are unchanged.
    • Your pay page tells drivers there’s no app fee: the price they see is what they pay.
    • Coming from ParkMobile or another parking app? Your Pay-to-park rates page suggests what to charge so drivers pay the same, and shows about what you keep per session.
    • Your Plan & account page lists Lotably’s fee on tickets, daily parking, and monthly parkers.
    • Canadian accounts now show amounts as CA$ everywhere, so drivers and staff can tell the currency at a glance.
  15. Sign up online and set up the same dayNew

    • Self-serve signup: pick Free or Starter, confirm your email, name your site, upload one property authorization letter, and sign your agreement online. No sales call needed. (Changed on Oct 23, see above: there is no longer a letter to upload.)
    • We review every new account the same business day and email you when it’s approved. Sign in and set up your lots, fines, officers, and Stripe account while you wait. (Changed on Oct 23, see above: accounts now go live the moment you sign up.)
    • New Starter plan: $99 a month for up to 25 lots and a 5% platform fee, with no per-lot fee while your drivers pay through Lotably. Free now covers up to 2 lots.
    • Canadian operators can sign up and are billed in Canadian dollars.
    • Event parking rates: set a game-day or concert price for each date, and while the event is on, the lot’s QR page sells only the event rate.
    • A new Plan & account page shows your plan, monthly total, card on file, and signed documents, and lets you upgrade from Free to Starter yourself.
    • Our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Software Services Agreements (US and Canada) are now published for anyone to read.
  16. Platform fee returned on refunds and lost chargebacksImproved

    • When you refund a payment, or a chargeback is decided against you, Lotably’s platform fee on that payment is returned too, in proportion to the amount refunded.
  17. Connect Stripe yourself, and design your own ticketsNewImproved

    • Connect Stripe from your admin, with a clear status while Stripe checks your details.
    • A ticket layout editor for your printed and on-screen tickets.
    • Custom plan customers can run their parking site on their own domain.
    • A broad refresh of the driver, officer, and admin screens.
  18. Better printing, clearer notices, and lot capacityNewImproved

    • Android phones can print to Zebra ZQ521 mobile printers. Tickets now fit 2 inch and 3 inch rolls, and 62 mm tape is supported.
    • Clearer ticket notices, and a separate setting for how many days drivers have to pay.
    • Pay-to-park stops selling passes when a lot reaches the capacity you set.
    • Time zone and currency settings (US or Canadian dollars).
    • The plate check now shows a plate’s expired passes and repeat passes.
  19. Print from any phoneNewImproved

    • Print tickets from an iPhone as a PDF sized to your printer roll.
    • Print from phones to Brother mobile printers.
    • Optional USDOT carrier lookup: add a truck’s USDOT number to a citation and the carrier’s details are saved on the ticket.
    • Smarter plate near-match protection, so a misread plate is less likely to lead to a wrong ticket.
  20. Driver notice emailsNew

    • When a citation is issued to a plate that matches a parker on file, the driver gets an email, plus a reminder if it goes overdue.
  21. Warning-first enforcementNew

    • Give courtesy warnings before citations. Each lot sets how many warnings a plate gets before the officer app leads with a ticket.
  22. Resident guest passes and property reportsNew

    • Residents can issue time-limited guest passes from the parker portal, capped by a quota you set, and officers see those guests as authorized.
    • Property reports: a monthly enforcement summary for each lot, emailed automatically to the owners or managers you choose.
  23. Online citation contestsNew

    • Drivers can contest a citation online, and your team approves or denies each one from a review queue in the admin.
  24. Reports you can compare, and your logo everywhereImproved

    • Reports now compare any period with the one before it, and cover tows and plate scans.
    • Upload your logo from the admin.
  25. Editable QR postersNew

    • Download and customize the QR poster for each lot.
  26. TowingNew

    • Record tows, or tow and ticket, and call your tow company in one tap from the officer app.
  27. Custom permissionsNew

    • Give each user exactly the permissions they need, with changes taking effect immediately.
  28. Go-live checklist and ticket searchNewImproved

    • A go-live checklist walks you through lots, officers, Stripe payouts, passes, and parker imports.
    • Search tickets from the admin, and a more mobile-friendly admin overall.
  29. Pay-to-parkNew

    • Sell parking with a QR code for each lot. Drivers pay on their phone with no app, and enforcement honors their passes automatically.
