Lotably vs. T2 Systems (UPsafety): A Fair Comparison

T2 Systems is one of the most established names in parking, and its UPsafety product is a capable enforcement tool. Lotably takes a different shape: a fast, self-serve, white-label platform where citation payments settle straight to your own account. Both are real options. Here is a fair look at how they differ and which fits which operator.

What T2 Systems (UPsafety) does well

T2’s UPsafety page lists mobile ticketing (it says a ticket takes 20 seconds or less), digital tire chalking, ALPR verification, scofflaw data synced to devices, boot and tow companies and fees by location, and an online portal where drivers pay or dispute citations and buy or renew permits. For hardware, T2 offers its XF all-in-one handheld, an Android device with a Bluetooth printer, or bring your own device. It sits inside a larger T2 lineup with permit management, PARCS, pay stations, and T2 Velocity, a gateless LPR system. That breadth is genuinely useful for operations that want everything under one large vendor.

UPsafety itself is pitched at smaller municipal and university programs, plus parking authorities, hospitals, and private properties. T2 has been part of Verra Mobility since December 2021, when Verra closed a $347 million acquisition of a business then serving more than 1,900 parking customers.

Where Lotably is different

• Time to live. Lotably is self-serve: operators sign up online and set up the same day. Enterprise suites typically involve a sales and onboarding cycle.
• Transparent pricing. Lotably publishes its entry pricing (free at 12% per online payment, or $99/month plus 5%, with daily parking at most 35¢ or 25¢ a session). T2 does not publish UPsafety pricing.
• Where the money lands. Lotably is built on Stripe Connect, so citation revenue settles directly to your own Stripe account. You keep the banking relationship.
• No hardware lock-in. Officers use ordinary phones and tablets. There is nothing to buy to start, and no gates or PARCS required.
• Month to month, every feature included. • White-label and multi-tenant. Run each brand or property as its own workspace with its own fines, branding, and payout, all from one platform.

Where T2 may fit better

If you run a municipal or institutional program that needs gated access equipment, PARCS integration, and one vendor across permits, pay stations, and enforcement, T2's breadth is a real advantage. Lotably is the enforcement, payments, and permit layer, not gate or meter hardware.
