What residents can do
Sign in to the parker portal with the email on the permit. In Guest passes, enter a visitor’s plate or choose an eligible registered car, the length, and when the pass starts. Company contacts also choose the host parker.
Extend an existing stay within the allowance. Each extension starts when the earlier coverage ends and counts as another pass.
Cancel a future or active pass. The resident must remain eligible to host; the guest cannot stay authorized after the host’s parking ends.
Set visitor lots
In Admin → Lots, turn on Guest passes valid here for the visitor lots. Once any active lot is designated, passes count only at those lots and their lot-group siblings.
With no visitor lot designated, passes retain the previous all-lots behavior, with an advisory when the host’s home lot differs.
A resident’s own registered car can use a guest pass for an eligible visitor lot. Another resident’s registered car cannot be added as their guest.
Set the allowance
- 1Open Admin → Policies → Guest passes.
- 2Choose a calendar week (Sunday–Saturday) or calendar month, and set the number of passes per period.
- 3Set the simultaneous-pass limit and maximum length, up to 168 hours for a resident-issued pass.
- 4Save the settings.
The pass counts in the period it starts. A canceled pass that already started still counts; one canceled before it started does not. Setting the allowance to zero disables resident self-service, but the office can still issue passes.
Issue a pass from the office
- 1Open Admin → Guest passes and choose Issue a pass.
- 2Find the resident by name, unit, or plate, then enter the plate, length, and start.
- 3Follow the resident limits, or choose Outside the resident limits and supply a reason for the exception.
Staff can also extend or cancel a pass. Outside-limit issuance is audited and can allow up to 30 days.
What the officer sees
The scan identifies a valid guest, their host and unit, and when the stay ends, including queued extensions. A pass checked outside its eligible visitor lots is identified as a guest pass for another lot.
Common questions
Do guests need an account?
No. The resident or office registers the plate for them.
How do I enable guest passes?
Guest passes require the monthly-parker portal and the Guest passes feature. Plan & account shows enabled features. Contact Lotably to change account feature availability.
