An officer app is the mobile application enforcement staff use in the field to scan or enter plates, check permits and paid sessions, take photos, and issue citations. Many run on ordinary smartphones, while older systems use dedicated handheld devices. Lots with weak cell signal make offline support and quick syncing as important as any feature.
