PARCS

PARCS stands for parking access and revenue control system, the gates, ticket dispensers, credential readers, pay stations, and software that control who enters and leaves a facility and collect payment. It is typical in garages and large lots with defined entrances. Because PARCS needs hardware installation and upkeep, smaller and open surface lots often use gateless pay-to-park with enforcement instead.
