How the math works
No hidden assumptions. The calculator multiplies your citations per month by your average fine to get billed revenue, applies your current and target collection rates to it, and shows the difference. The Lotably line uses our published pricing and automatically picks the cheaper plan for your volume and lot count, $0 per month plus 12% per online payment for up to 2 lots, or $99 plus 5% for up to 25 lots, applied to the target collections, which is the conservative reading since it assumes every payment flows through the platform. More than 25 lots is a Custom plan, which we quote rather than estimate. Daily parking through Lotably is priced per session (the plan rate or at most 35¢ on Free and 25¢ on Starter, whichever is less), which this citation-focused tool does not model; the cost calculator below includes it. Stripe processing fees are separate, exactly as our pricing page says.
What actually moves a collection rate
We deliberately do not bake in an industry-average uplift, because collection rates vary widely by lot type, fine level, and enforcement consistency. What operators can control is friction: a driver who can scan a QR code on the ticket and pay in about 30 seconds is far more likely to pay than one who has to mail a check or find an obscure payment page. The levers that matter are online payment by ticket number, plate, or QR code, clear receipts, a fair contest flow, and consistent escalation for repeat offenders.
