How the math works
No hidden assumptions. The calculator multiplies your citations per month by your average fine to get billed revenue, applies your current and target collection rates to it, and shows the difference. The Lotably line is our published Starter pricing, $99 per month plus 5% of citations paid online, applied to the target collections, which is the conservative reading since it assumes every payment flows through the platform. Stripe processing fees are separate, exactly as our pricing page says.
What actually moves a collection rate
We deliberately do not bake in an industry-average uplift, because collection rates vary widely by lot type, fine level, and enforcement consistency. What operators can control is friction: a driver who can scan a QR code on the ticket and pay in about 30 seconds is far more likely to pay than one who has to mail a check or find an obscure payment page. The levers that matter are online payment by ticket number, plate, or QR code, clear receipts, a fair contest flow, and consistent escalation for repeat offenders.
