Relocator (Illinois)

In Illinois, a commercial vehicle relocator, or relocator, is a business that removes trespassing vehicles from private property by towing or otherwise and then relocates and stores them. Relocators are licensed and regulated by the Illinois Commerce Commission under Chapter 18a of the Illinois Vehicle Code, which also provides permits for their operators and dispatchers. The term is specific to Illinois law; most other places call this private property or non-consensual towing.
