Event parking rates for games and concerts

Open Parking → Event parking and click Add events. While an event is on, the lot’s QR page sells only the event rate, and your regular rates come back when it ends.

Add an event, or a whole season

  1. 1In your admin, open Parking → Event parking.
  2. 2Click Add events.
  3. 3For each date, enter the Event name drivers will see, the Date, and when the event rate Starts and Ends. An end time before the start runs past midnight.
  4. 4Click + Add another date to copy the last row a week later at the same times. A home schedule takes a few clicks, and you can change any row.
  5. 5Set the Event price. 0 makes it free; otherwise the minimum is $0.50, the card minimum.
  6. 6Choose the Lots: all lots, or chosen ones.
  7. 7Choose when Passes are valid until: when the event rate ends, or a set time such as 11:59 PM.
  8. 8Optionally add a Note for drivers, like “Gates open 3 hours before kickoff.”
  9. 9Check What drivers see in the preview, then save.

If two events sell at the same lot at the same time, the form flags it, because drivers would see both rates.

What drivers see

While an event is on, the lot’s QR page says “Event parking” with the event’s name, and the event rate is the only thing on sale. The pass starts when they pay and runs to the event’s valid-until time, so there’s nothing to extend. The same plate can’t buy the same event twice. Promo codes apply only when the code has Can be used on event rates enabled.

Officers see an event pass like any other paid pass: the plate is paid until it expires.

Drivers can also book an event day ahead: choosing Another day and that date on the QR page sells the event rate, valid from 12:00 AM that day until the event’s passes stop being valid. See Letting drivers book a day ahead.

Manage your events

The list shows On now (with what it has sold, plus Edit and End now), Coming up grouped by day (Edit, Duplicate, Delete), and the past 60 days of events with their sales.

End now stops the event rate at once and brings your regular rates back. Passes already sold stay valid. Delete works only for an event nothing was sold at.

Common questions

Can I charge a different price at different lots for the same event?

Each event has one price. To charge differently at another lot, add a second event for that lot.

Do event sales stop when the lot is full?

Yes, if you’ve turned on “Stop selling passes when a lot is full” under Settings → Policies. The lot’s capacity applies to event sales too.

What time zone are event times in?

Your account’s time zone. A date that falls across a daylight saving change keeps its clock time.
